As discussed and agreed in Bali, that specific support on climate change science / information / analysis and risk communication was provided to the Pilot actions; therefore targeted teams were set-up that were cross-institutional and served all the teams in close coordination with monitoring teams.

The climate change science team provided technical and scientific support to the pilot actions to finalize their projects from a climate change science analysis perspective. The team leaders made sure that the team provided regular support to the pilot actions. The team was led by Bruce Hewitson (CSAG), Mark Tadross (CSAG), Liza Coop (CSAG) and Fernanda Zermoglio (SEI). Ben Smith (SEI), Shuyun Wang (TEA-START) and ENDA benefited from Training of Trainer at CSAG in April. Their active contributions to the team was decided on a case-by-case basis with team leader.
After the inception workshop, the climate change science team has sent to every monitoring team an information note on the work in progress, including updates on data and tools availability like the Climate Change Explorer (CCE) or the AWhere spatial information system.
- The Climate Change Risk Assessment / Risk Communication Support Team has provided support to all the pilot actions to finalize their projects on the subject of risk assessment and communication in very close coordination with the climate change science team. This team was facilitated by Gina Ziervogel (CSAG/SEI), with Lawrence Flint (ENDA), Suppakorn Chinvano (SEA-START), Kai Kim Chiang (SEI-Bangkok), Jon Padgham (START), Clark Seipt (START), Lisa Schipper (SEI-Bangkok) and Kate Lonsdale (SEI).
The Risk Communication Team developed two guidance documents, one inlcuding the different communication methods used by ACCCA teams. [See full document]
The other document is a table that pilot action teams used to keep track of the risk communication updates and a complete list of tasks necessary to elaborate a good risk communication policy. [See full document]
