The demand for adaptation is growing rapidly, and many new groups are being asked to consider adaptation in their activities. The platfom wikiADAPT is based on the idea that in order to realise effective adaptation it is necessary to learn from each other’s experiences in adaptation and develop guidance on the process of adaptation.  wikiADAPT is an interactive space for reading about, discussing and contributing to current thinking and experience on climate adaptation, with contributions from different individuals and groups. The wiki is a key component of the weADAPT collaboration, and contains core themes on Framing Adaptation, Risk Monitoring, Decision Screening, and Communication, as well as different tools and methods, worked examples and useful external links to aid adaptation.

On wikiADAPT users can find information about different approaches to adaptation, what different groups involved in adaptation are doing, and the links between adaptation and other fields, such as Disaster Risk Management and the development community. The aim of wikiADAPT is to provide different levels of guidance on the process of adaptation, according to the needs and experience of the user.  Prototypes are being developed, currently one in Africa and one in Asia, to show how the guidance on adaptation can be applied in different contexts.
